Shiro , Japcore from Finland

I was gonna do a compilation tape back in 1997-98. But it was never released. I found a tape with Shiro, who was gonna participate on the tape. Here's the 6 tracks I got from them. If I remember it right is it members from the fantastic band Kirous who had this project. They wanted to play japcore, and sure they do. I really like this dirty and raw mangel. What do you think?

Review: Per Capita / Freedom is a lie (split12")

Per Capita / Freedom is a lie (split 12")
http://percapita.blogsport.eu/
http://freedomisalie.bandcamp.com/

This is a split-12" and the bands Per Capita (Germany) and Freedom is a lie (Hungary)  complement each other. Per Capita has been one of my favorite bands for a couple years now. They mix perfect brutal crust, raw hardcore and grind. I came across Per Capita for some years when I listened to Ungovernable Resistance Radio and I became glad to find a new fantastic band (and yeah, that's a good reason to listen at U.R's webradio). Per Capita sounds a bit like a mix of Totalt Jävla Mörker and Skitsystem. I like they way they mix crust and grind, it makes them very dynamic and I just can't get enough of these 9 tracks. Freedom is a lie have lyrics in their native language - hungarian, and I can't understand a single word, but it really fits this genre. Just like Per Capita is it a mix of crust and grind, but F.I.A.L have a more trashy sound where Per Capita have the hardcore sound. So there is a difference between the bands even if their roots are the same. This is a split with 2 good bands, but Per Capita is a bit better if you ask me.

Per Capita - Doomed

7.14.2013

Bands: Per Capita from Germany

First time I heard Per Capita from Munich, Germany was for around 4 years ago when Gaz from Ungovernable Resistance played them at his radio show. I have liked them much since then. They have released a new split 12" with the Hungarian band Freedom is a lie. I will review that album later on.

If you wanna listen to this split 12", check out the bandcamp site:

And here's a video for their song "Doomed".

Interview: Slaktrens

Here's a part of the Slaktrens interview that will be published in Schizo Fanzine #9 which will be out in a few weeks. It's Johan, the guy who formed the band who answer my questions. If you want more info about Slaktrens, visit their blog here and Rawby Records on Facebook here

Hey Johan, what's up? Please start to introduce the band. And how has the band developed since you released Ur Balans 7" 2010?

Hi Micke! Here's the story of the band: first it was only me that recorded a pretty shitty demo (mangelattack), then Stefan joined and we did the ur balans 7", the strålande tider 12" and a bunch of tracks for comps. Then Befa and Tobbe joined, Stefan quit and Joel joined. We did our first recording as a full band this spring. It's not released yet but sooner or more probably later those songs will be on a split lp with Stick & Brinn. (Update: it will be a Slaktrens 7" insted of the split)

I like the titles of your songs, they are fun but also smart and directly, what is your lyrics about and which of your lyrics are you most satisfied with?

Generally just stuff that gets me annoyed or pissed off. I dont think im very good at writing lyrics and i dont have any favourites really.

You also run Rawby Records, what is the future plans? And you (and Masken) have just released Utanförskapet, what can you say about that LP?

No big plans really. Im still waiting for the Freaknation/Violent Headache split that i took a little part in paying for, to be released. I have really high expectations for that 7", especially the Freaknation side. The spanish version of Hellnation! I just hope it gets released sometime... Sometimes it feels like DIY = delay it yourself haha. Yeah the Utanförskapet 12" is really fucking great! Best record 2012 if you ask me, but i guess im a little biased hahaha. I guess i will also be involved in the Stick & brinn/Slaktrens split release.

Slaktrens, Nödslakt, Slaktattack, Skitslakt... ?

Slakt is a good word to put in a band name.

Review: Utanförskapet - Vildhjärta

Utanförskapet - Vildhjärta (LP)
http://utanf.blogspot.se/
(Fight Back Records - http://bloggasfuck.blogspot.se/)

Nothing can go wrong when you form a band with members from Asocial, Crossing Chaos, Svart Parad and Uncurbed. This must be the most brutal LP I've heard for a long time. Utanförskapet are significant with Swedish käng/rawpunk at it's best. The music is filled with extreme brutal rock n roll riffs, D-beat as hell, TB's lovely vocals and a dirty sound. I don't think I'm the only one to think that Utanförskapet are just as good or maybe better than bands like Wolfbrigade, Disfear and Victims. The Swedish lyrics are just as angry as the music, and TB sounds pissed off as always. When it comes to raw/kängpunk is these 13 tracks the only thing you need at the moment and the best tracks according to me is "Vildhjärta" och "Kängor från rännstenen", but all the tracks are absolutely brilliant. I don't know why they play a Svart Parad cover when they prove that they can write their own songs. Buy this LP today!

Review: Passiv Dödshjälp - Skit på repeat (7")

Passiv Dödshjälp - Skit på repeat (7")
deathcamp13@hotmail.com
(www.halvfabrikat.net)

Passiv Dödshjälp continues in the same old tracks with their dark and melancholic crust hardcore. This EP is released by Halvfabrikat which can give you a clue about the sound. Passiv Dödshjälp have a good mix between mid tempo and d-beat which make the sound dynamic. But it doesn't matter which tempo they use, the touch of anxiety are always there. This 7" is one of their best release. And 4 tracks are just right, it never gets boring. Two of the tracks are justified critic against the police in different ways. "Evolutionen backar" is my favorite track on this 7" and one of the best song from Passiv Dödshjälp so far. That song is so fucking raw and have some good breaks and slower parts.

Interview: Buiten Gebruik

Yay, here is an interview with Buiten Gebruik from Holland. This is just a part of the entire interview that you can read in Schizo Fanzine #7. It's my friend Billie who answered my questions. In the fanzine is there also a couple of questions to Billies daughter Darcy.

So, how is it to play with the other lads in Buiten Gebruik. You told me about a new member in the band, who is that guy? You have good experience from other bands, what is the biggest difference between Buiten and your last band Sangre? What have you guys played in before?

it's just big fun with these kids to rock. With Cleverson I have had bands since 2000 and Peter was allready in the last line up from sangre. Only Leon is for us (musical) a new Jack but as a person he is also one we just know as a good friend... The new bandmember you talk about was when we asked Big John from the Exploited to play second guitar. he promised a few times to come a round but he never did. never trust a Hippy! Extra line...John is a cool guy....

The difference between Buiten Gebruik is the line up (new drums, one guitarinstead of 2 and one vocal instead of 2) and the language of the lyrics. With Sangre we sang in English because of the 2 nationalities of the vocalists (Polish and Dutch) but now I'm on my own i wrote all the lyrics in Dutch. And the name is Dutch too....BTW it means Out of Order! The music remains to be some sort of Dbeat!!

What do you prefer to write about? Is there still topics left for you to write about?

Good one, .the topics are indeed so hard to find. I should just sing about war as a Dbeatsinger but I did so far only 2, just because....uhm...uhm....Discharge does it too. Other lyrics deal about the problem that is from all times, that it's so hard to fit in society, that some friends are stupid, religion is a thankfull subject and let's not forget, the upcoming populism in Holland! Not even upcoming....just populism

Just another question about the tour we did earlier this year. Which place did you like most? Was the tour as you had expected from the beginning?

Fuck, which place I like most, I liked it all very much. Amsterdam I was expecting shit but quite some people showed up. Heerlen was typical last minute booked, in St Etienne we were lucky to play on the afterparty of a few days festival and Marseille was so hard to have any audience on a monday but so nice just to hang out there, a fucking weird city, and Liege was as always so fucking nice and drunk. That's why I couldn't hardly breath or talk in Louvain. Fuck the missing audience... it's just so good to see that there are people worldwide standing by to help us out with our stupid bands and give us food and shelter, sharing it all...man we are the happy few

What have you guys played in before?

Let's say, Buiten Gebruik contains members of Sangre, Fleas and Lice, Olho de Gato, Betercore, Boycot, Skint and probably some more...  Matka Teresa, Extreme Noise Error.

Review: Dogmatist - Obedience

Dogmatist - Obedience
http://www.dogmatistcph.blogspot.com/
(Raw Birth Records - rawbirthrecords.blogspot.com)

Alright, do you like raw, distorted hardcore with a japaneese/finish sound? Well, then you're gonna get this record. And Dogmatist isn't from even Japan or Finland. It's a Danish band and sound quite like Kylma Sotaa, Disclose and a bit like Anti-Cimex and many more. It's a total distorted blast and the sound is still good. I like the vocals, they reminds of D-clone. Dogmatist was formed earlier this year (2012) and I hope they will exist for a long time. It's always fun with bands who is this good hailing from countries that is not so famous for the genre. Don't be surprised if there will be a Dogmatist interview in Schizo Fanzine in the future because these 8 tracks was totally brilliant.

Review: M:40 - Diagnos (CD)

M:40 - Diagnos (CD)
http://m40.se/

Shit pommes frites. I love Swedish M:40 and when they kickstart with the title track Diagnos is it not hard to understand why. They are extreme, they are so fucking raw, and this is the best they have done so far. It smells Skitsystem and it almost smell Massgrav. The song titles isn't something you will laugh at... "Väck mig vid slutet", "Vid rännstenens skam" and "Vi bär på smittan", find an english-swedish dictionary an check those titles up. The lyrics isn't easy to hear so it sucks that they are almost even harder to read, fucking punk lay out. That's the only disturbing issue with this CD. My favorite tracks is the ultra raw "Diagnos", the desperate "Väck mig vid slutet" and the dark hardcorecrust song "Avfall".

Reviews: 2 releases from Underground Movement

Wolfbeast Destroyer - Far from grace (digital)
www.myspace.com/wolfbeastdestroyer

I read that Wolfbeat Destroyer are influenced by swedish bands, like Disfear and Wolfpack. And it's easy to hear those influences. It's traditional dirty D-beat with raw vocals. If you like Disgust, and in particular their album Brutality of war will you like Wolfbeast Destroyer. These tracks will be released as a 10" vinyl in 3 different colours. 8 tracks of dirty D-beat, it won't be better and I think Wolfbeast Destroyer deserve much cred, don't be surprised if there will be an interview in Schizo #9

Twisted Mass - S/t (digital)
twistedmass.bandcamp.com
(http://www.underground-movement.net)

This Dublin band just explode with furious crust and if I have to compare with other bands would I choose Kvoteringen, DS-13 and Tragedy. This is really high class crust. Underground Movement seems to release lot's of good stuff, visit their site. I got this as a digital version, but they will release it as a MCD and it's 5 fantastic tracks. How can a band from such a beautiful country as Ireland sound so fucking angry? There is occasionally some insinuation of metal and I don't use to say this often but according to my opinion is the metal just a boost.

Review: Extensity - La Gravedad De La Ley

Extensity - La Gravedad De La Ley
www.myspace.com/extensitytheband
www.extensity.bandcamp.com

I fucking love it when good bands contact me and want me to review them. Extensity from Barcelona sent me an email and I downloaded their CD "`La gravedad de la ley", which is possible to order from the band, or listen to the entire album at their bandcamp, buy it if you like it. It's their ultra desperate hardcore that force me to pogo fucking hard. The music is a mix between Sick of it all and Gang Green. But Extensity are much harder and the vocals in particular are harder and so fucking raw. Maybe is Disfear the closest band to compare with. I will not say that any song is better than the other, because they are all good. 8 tracks in 9 minutes. And I want more now.

(I hope to get an interview with Extensity later on)
