I am fucking glad that I ordered this 7" from Distro-y because it's a wonderful piece of clear vinyl. Moral Dilemma have male/female vocals and the vocals was the first thing that hit me, it sounds really good. The music is pretty slow and it could be just another ok but boring punkband, but the vocals transform the entire production into great hardcorepunk. This 7" contains of 4 tracks, and I don't think a fullenght would be boring so I hope they will release one soon. The last track Cayenne starts as a ballad with french lyrics but after a while it take shape as a brilliant punksong. This 7" is limited to 500 copys and I can just recommend you to buy it. I hope to get an interview with Moral Dilemma in next issue of Schizo Fanzine.

Review: The Lowlifes - TV Addiction

The Lowlifes have been around since 2004 but this is their debut album. Their energetic 3-chord punk isn't bad at all, but I wish that they could slow down sometimes because it almost sounds like one long song, and that's not really fair, because The Lowlifes really know how to play this kind of punk. 3-4 tracks on a compilation tape for the summer is just perfect. If I am going to compare The Lowlifes with an other band will probably The Business be the closest even if it's a big class distinction between those bands. The lyrics walk hand in hand with the music, it's pure punk and they have 4 tracks in swedish and 8 in english. The best tracks: False Unity, Jag finns inte alls and Nothing Worth. All in all will you get almost 30 minutes of ok punk, but if you get the opportunity to watch The Lowlifes live, take the chance, they are much better live.

Filthy Charity live in Sweden 2010

Here's Filthy Charity live at Gula Villan in Haninge outside Stockholm. I arranged their tour

and we had a blast out on the Swedish roads. 2 gigs in Stockholm, 1 in Göteborg and 1 in Malmö. I can really recommend you to to see them live if you get the opportunity. Really nice lads.
I hope you will come back to Sweden in the future.

Because of the fact that The Bristles are booked for the 2-day festival at Kafe 44 in Stockholm this summer, here is a recent interview. They might be old, but still angry... let's go...

1. Hello Svegis, how are The Bristles feeling today?

The band just had a winter break. Now the winters almost done were backtogether, rehearsing, writing new songs... getting the shit together.

2. You are booked for the 2-day fest at Kafe 44 in Stockholm, what do you look forward to? You are gonna play, but is there any special bands you really want to see?

Yeah, reallylooking forward to play there. We've played at 44:an once before and we're alwayslooking forward to go there and meet Tompa Eken who is a GREAT man, and whowe've known since Ultrahuset days. Meanwhile is a nice band, Makabert fynd aswell, and I'm looking forward to meet Jallo again, a long time ago since lasttime....

3. Do you have any other plans for the spring and the summer?

We have just started to look for gigs and festivals, and writing new songs. Do you want us to play, contact the_bristles@hotmail.com

4. And you are also running Heptown Record as well. Can you reveal any upcommingreleases now?

Well, I just work at Hepcat Store and our inhouse label is Heptown Records: Wehave just released Sir Reg (celtic punk) and Troubled Three (rockabilly) andnow in march we will release The Cremators album, a Swedish psychobillyband.

5. Any last words you wanna spread to the people out there? Thanx, and hope youwill have a fantastic year.

Interview: Extensity

Here's an interview with Jordi who play in the brilliant raw hardcore band Extensity.
They are hailing from Barcelona, and I can recommend everyone who like raw shit
to visit their BANDCAMP site where you can listen to or download their album for free.

1. Hey, please introduce the band

Jordi: hi, we're Extensity from Vic, a town 70 kilometres from Barcelona.
We're Marc in the guitar, Albert in the voice, Joan in the bass and Jordi in the drums.

2. How would you describe your music and name a few bands that influence you?

J: hardcore/crust, nastiness and speed. There're a lot of bands. For me specially Intensity from Sweden, but there're others like Limp wrist, Los Crudos, Disfear, Motörhead, Propagandhi, etc...

3. Can you recommend some other good bands from Barcelona?

J: In Barcelona and around it, there're good hardcore bands. I cannot name them all because I'd forget one of them, but I can tell you some good ones we have played with most: El Punto Devil , Dissabte , Time to Change, The Outsiders, etc...

4. How would you describe a really good Extensity-gig? How many gigs have you done so far?

J: An Extensity gig is like... We start a song and we keep dovetailing the songs until the end, when we are exhausted and happy to have given our asses playing! I think we have made around 50 shows. In fact we don't count them. Most of them have been in Catalonia and some in Spain. We also did 3 shows in France. We don't usually play so far due to our jobs and studies.

5. What is your lyrics about? Have you ever thought to write english lyrics?

J: They talk about life in general, misfortunes, politics, feelings... We don't write them in English because it's not our language; We can better express with our own language. However there's a song in English called "Friendship".

6. What do you know about the swedish punk/hc scene

J: Personally, I really like the swedish scene. There're more bands every day and every time the level is better. When we used to skate, we lived the crop of swedish bands (Satanic Surfers, No Fun At All, Randy, Misconduct, Intensity, Venerea, Acursed, Kontrovers...) I hope one day I can play in Sweden hahaha!

7. And yeah, what do you think about the future, do you have any plans?

J: We can't talk about future. In this moment we have this up our sleeves and we must preserve it. We'll see what we do; we're motivated.

Review: Antipati - Quattro Stagioni + Extra allt

This must be the perfect streetpunk album without no doubts. They are flirting pretty much with Agent Bulldogg, but copycats? No way! Antipati have their own sound. This album are infact almost like an Antipati-compilation where 4 tracks comes from the 7" Quattro Stagioni which was released by Kjell Hell. 3 tracks is from the split with Last Rough Cause and 1 track will appear on Turist i Tillvaron Vol.3. I fucking love how Antipati have written the tracks to Quattro Stagioni, when the music reflects the lyrics, where the summer and spring lyrics are in major keys and autumn and winter in minor key. This album, from the cover to the music, is so deliberated. Forget the past, Antipati is the future. Their punkrock hits me straight from the beginning to the end. And I have to admit that I drank my first beer since New years eve today (end of february) after I'd listen to this album. You will get 8 tracks/26 minutes of pure punkrock joy. And Antipati really show how to make a top class production but still have the sound of punkrock. I have praised the french Oi! scene, but hell knows if this isn't better.

This is a promo of Kapitano's second 7". The sound is very mature, and I can't decide which genre I'm gonna put them into. Swedish punk with a touch of bands like Coca Carola and Charta 77. But the vocals have more pop feelings than all the 1000's of similar bands. I can not agree with the press letter who describe Kapitano as a punk projectile that are about to detonate. I would rather describe Kapitano as a good swedish soft punkband with strong pop feelings. By the way, can anyone help me, please where have I heard the chorus from the first track - En sanning så säker before?

I will not reject Kapitano straight ahead, but it's not really my cup tea. But if you are into swedish bands like Mimkry, Skumdum and Coca Carola will you probably like Kapitano. The best track on this record is the bonus track Jag blundar inte mer which is exclusive just for this promo.

Damn!.. is the first word that pop up in my head the first time I heard this album. And that's a damn in a possitive way. Because this FREE album is totally fantastic. Opposition Rising from Boston mix the best NYHC influenced Boston HC you can imagine with hc-influenced ska. Not like Mighty Mighty Bosstones or something like that. They have a more modern touch, both when it comes to the hardcore and the ska parts.

Even if you don't like ska, don't be affraid, because the most parts is just pure hardcore. I have never heard this kind of crossover before. Imagine what would happen if you put Slapshot and Voodoo Glow Skulls together. As I wrote is this album free to download, but the LP is pressed in 1000 ex, different colours from a bunch of different labels. I just love all the 10 tracks but if I have to chose some favourite tracks will it be The Rich Are Killing The Poor, F.T.W and Pink-Slip Murded Suicide.

Here's a free compilation from Birds Out Records. And the main content is a mix between brutal hardcore and grind. The only band I've heard of before is Weelchair X4. The first band that really open up my eyes is Hoy Pinoy, their kind of grindcore satisfiy me very much. Another band that I like is Horrors that you've seen who play more crust influenced hardcore. I think this compilation can be something for people who like grind but also people who like deathmetal, just listen to Human Cull and you'll understand. The whole compilation is just like a big greyzone, I don't know if I will categorize it as a punk, grind, hardcore or metal comp. So fuck genres, this is brutal music for brutal people. And it's free, so don't hesitate for fuck sake. The last track is a pretty famous cover, Bite it you scum...

The Dräperz kommer från den stad som kanske har mest storebrorskomplex av dom all - Västerås. Den 23 Mars spelar dessa västeråsare i huvudstaden - Stockholm. Plats för denna happening är Club Dislocated på kungliga Södermalm. Broder Tuck står för lokalen, en bra lokal speciellt när det är mycket folk på plats. Så därför SKA du, såvida du inte har något bra mycket viktigare för Dig, bege dig till Broder Tuck för tusan. Det är dessutom en Fredag, vilket innebär att du kan dricka öl, vilket innebär att du törs köra lite pogo.

The Dräperz is a pretty new band from Västerås, Sweden. They play 3-chord punkrock with a mix between Ramones, Templars and let us say Voice of a generation. Since I like that kind of punk is it not too hard to understand that I like The Dräperz. But, I would prefer that they do all songs in swedish because it doesn't sounds too good when Mr.Jinx sing in english too bad because the vocals are not bad at all, it's the accent who disturb me. The music is perfect for a sunny day in the park with lot's of beer. 9 tracks in english and 2 in swedish, one of the 9 is a cover (Highway star) by Zeke. I think that The Dräperz can thrive in the future.

I fucking love it when good bands contact me and want me to review them. Extensity from Barcelona sent me an email and I downloaded their CD "`La gravedad de la ley", which is possible to order from the band, or listen to the entire album at their bandcamp, buy it if you like it. It's their ultra desperate hardcore that force me to pogo fucking hard. The music is a mix between Sick of it all and Gang Green. But Extensity are much harder and the vocals in particular are harder and so fucking raw. Maybe is Disfear the closest band to compare with. I will not say that any song is better than the other, because they are all good. 8 tracks in 9 minutes. And I want more now.

Atomic Pollution is back, free to download as always. And the lyrics, artwork, cover etc will be enclosed as well. I think this is the best Atomic Pollution has recorded. So I am glad that it 6 tracks this time insted of just 2. The sound is more angry now, and that is suitable to the lyrics.

The music is pretty much anarchopunk, better than many bands but not in the same class as Burnt Cross or Conflict. It would be fun to see how the sound should be if Atomic Pollution was a full band I can just imagine how "Free?" would sound. That's my favorite song on this release, Peaceful Protest (part.2) are good as well. I like when A.P make it angrier. This compilation, released by Mikael Sörling, will probably be just as classic as the famous swedish compilations from Really Fast. And just how Really Fast was arranged is this the best from the Swedish punk scene in the present. And you will find all kinds of different punk genres. Like the fast and furious Dick Tracy to streetpunkish Prins Carl via GBH-influenced Suicide Syndicate. Spotlicks, Glidslem and Ernst and the Edsholm Rebels has all been interviewed in earlier issues of Schizo Fanzine. And as you already know are Spotlicks one of my favorite bands, old school swedish punkrock, and Rikard must be the best bass player ever. Another band that give me 80.s punkrock feelings are Strindberg Som Tortyr. There is a bunch of bands I've just heard of but I have never listen to them. Slöa Knivar are one of them, and they surprise me in a positive way. I my opinion are Black Feet the best band on the entire compilation. You will get 19 tracks from 16 bands. And there is no band that sounds like any of the other. This is what Sweden can offer right now and the high class make me proud. Rest of the bands: Bäddat för trubbel, Abjekt, Epidemics, Kronofogden, Varsel, Beyond pink and Snutjävel.

I can just agree with the press letter.. "All killers, no fillers". This EP contains of 8 bands and 8 tracks and I have to say that it's creame de la creame of Swedish raw/crust punk. Misär is the first band out, and the play classic swedish d-beat with spirits from the 90.s. Next out is Krimtänk, the soundquality isn't the best but they deliver as usual. Another band that deliver as usual is Slaktrens with their raw sound and grindparts, I love it. Eskatologia is a classic Halvfabrikat band, really raw and filled with melodic neocrust/minor key tunes. I like that in just right doses and it stands out perfect on this compilation. Passiv Dödshjälp is another faithful old servant band from Halvfabrikat and they have never disappointed me. Damn, the only band I've not heard before are Insidious Process, and guess what... It's the best band on this EP. So fucking raw and brutal. I just feel that I want more of them. Don't be surprised if you'll find an interview in this issue as well. I will always hold Moderat Likvidation as one of the best rawpunk band ever, but it was before their reunion, their song on this EP is far from their old stuff. The last band is another classic Halvfabrikat band, End of all, who play even more minor key melodic crust than Eskatalogia and they do it fantastic. I will recommend this EP for all lovers of Swedish crust/rawpunk, you will not be disappointed because this is high class all over.

The young members in this band really start to sound mature. But since I can be a bit conservative will I just give Saturdays Heroes a warning, watch out for too good productions and watch out to fall into the american streetpunk syndrome. That's my opinion, but it seems like I am pretty alone to hate bands like Dropkick Murphys, US Bombs and Street Dogs, so don't listen to me. Well, one of these three tracks is a cover by DKM (Get up), and it almost sounds just like DKM. I don't like that, I prefer when bands record covers with their own style. But I will not complain more, Saturdays Heroes is a fucking good band, they belong to one of the best streetpunkbands in Sweden. So my warnings is just because I am worried to lose this band into a boring genre where all bands have the same sound - the fucked up american streetpunk wave anno 2009. Try to embrace more from the UK Oi! scene and I will be 100% satisfied. Because you really has the makings of a fantastic band.

So after thinking long and hard bout it i've decided to call it quits with good times records. Lack of interest from everyone including myself is the main reason. Its been going for 5 years, and i have released some rad bands and made life long friends all over the world because of it. I still have four releases coming out, shock futuro 7 inch, john hussey demo, un quarto morto final ep and i hate this discography so be sure to get htem as they will be limited copies. Bands that wanted to do releases with me i'm sorry, start your own label and give it crack! I still have releases and distro stock so i will be selling it next to nothing so if you have bought something off me in the past expect an email with the list. I'm also not booking shows anymore unless its for one of my bands, no such luck, PDM or in defence when they decide to tour. My friends are just getting more and more famous for every time I write about them. And that's sweet, I like Sir Reg, but... a big but, I can't I hail them as much as I want this time. A big reason is probably that they are so fantastic musicians, the production is too good for my punk-ears. Sure, the songs are strong but I want it more dirty. I am not surprised that Paddyrock.com choosed this album as the best of the year, because it is really good "paddyrock" and not "celticpunk" even if the lyrics have interesting messages and not just "blah blah beer and whiskey". Another thing I like is the vocals, I have always been in love with Brens voice, I remember when we played Fishermans Blues in our band The Barcrawlers, but that belongs to the past. Come on bhoys and ghirls, get it more dirty for me before it's too late.

I have never been a sucker for The Clash and even if it sounds like The Radars got much influences from them I will not say that this fullenght is a pure copy of The Clash. No, it's much better, MUCH better. It's almost like if they have taken over from where the swedish band Monster ended. But... it's even better, Monster had a couple of good hitsongs while The Radars delivers in almost every song. If I could re-write my top 10 for 2011 The Radars should be on that chart. All the catchy guitar and vocal melodies is magnificent. The feeling of skapunk is constant, even when it's not any backbeat, I guess that the horn-section together with the beats make the feeling even stronger. What else can I say? Well, the lyrics are short, simple but still very honest often about situations in life. I can just send a big congratulate to the norwegiean label Svindel Records who released this CD. And of course a big congratulate to The Radars for this success.

Bersicker is a pretty new band from UK. And they have a classic UK sound, I am thinking of bands like The Varukers and Chaos UK. The vocals are distinctive in the way that they are filled with echo, that sounds actually really good. There's 3 tracks on this CD, the first is just like an intro, but the other 2 tracks is hardcorepunk in the same high class as the best UK82 bands. It will be fun to see what Bersicker will release in the future. It wouldn't surprise me if they'll do a split 7" or an fullenght CD, because if they write more songs like these will they have material for a fullenght for sure.

It's already out the split 7" between veteran HC/Punk bands White Flag and Crise Total! Both were born in 1983 and both are a reference of the International Punk scene. The Americans White Flag who are LA natives have visited Europe quite a few times and have in their portfolio tenths of releases and have over the years crossed ways with such bands as Social Distortion, Germs, Bad Religion and the Melvins amongst many others,their shows always marked by their polemic posture and their thought provoking themes,3 tracks that show them at their best. As for the Portuguese Crise Total,a cult band from the Portuguese underground and pioneers of the Anarcho-Punk Movement in that country we have here their first record with their new line-up since 2008 with original members Manolo(vocals) and Rui Ramos(guitar) and the new recruits Rattus(bass) from Albert Fish and Johnny(drums) from Asfixia,Simbiose,2 tracks showing their anti-capitalistic/political stance as always.

This kind of metal hardcore really bore me to death. But yes, they know how to play and it doesn't sound bad, but still... it's so boring. I don't really know what else I can write. If I had been more interesting in this music could I have done some namedroping but I don't have any bands in my mind that I can compare with Always War. Take a look at their myspace if you think you will like this. I am just glad that they didn't sent a fullength. This is a 5 track CD, settled in 11 minutes.

The first thing that popped up in my head was Citizen Fish because of the energetic skankin' punk mix. NOFX and Mighty Mighty Bosstones are two other bands I can't leave outside this review either but I have to say that Braindead have more punk in their sound and they really know how to handle their instruments. I have to confess, I really like this kind of punk. There is so many bands out there (especially at late 90.s) who have tried to play ska and punk but it always seems to be a big flop, but not this time. And the lyrics are well-written and not just silly shit. If you are a fan of Voodoo Glow Skulls and Skankin Pickle will you like this CD. Don't be surprised if this german band will be interviewed in Schizo Fanzine in the future. On this CD will you get 16 tracks and 50 minutes of joy. Great work!

So what do we have here...? Mad Pigs, hailing from Czech Republic and they mix CZ with english lyrics. The music is pretty close to streetpunk but it's very melodic and I feel some hardcore vibes as well. If I have to compare with other bands will I pick The Casualties, Agnostic Front and The Unseen. A small dose once in a while will be perfect for me, because I have nothing bad to say about Mad Pigs but this kind of punk isn't always my cup of tea. But yeah, a few tracks on a mix tape is perfect. I think I prefer the tracks when they sing in their home language, even if I don't understand a single word. But I like all east european languages. The cover says 10 tracks but actually it's 11 since the last one is a bonus. All in all, 11 tracks in 29 minutes. More punk to the people!

Here's a dutch band who play hardcore in the veins of Madball, Sick of it all and the rest of the NYHC bands. And Manu Armata make it very well. Their highclass hardcore will probably fit all hardcore kids out there because they are in my eyes almost better than many of the "original" bands. I must admit that I don't listen to this kind of hardcore very often, but I like it in smaller portions. So this 6 track + intro is perfect. 15 minutes of really raw NYHC. The vocals is the reason why I think they're better than Madball for an example. Excellent. The lyrics is very influenced by life, and to never give up without strife. And talking about strife, is the band Strife another band that Manu Armata remind me off. Give this dutchmen a big chance. Get their records from 5 Feet Under now.

"You'll always be the first to throw a punch, you'll always be that last to use your brain" I love it, and I love that song - "Pandemonium" So what kind of band is Prisonbitch? My first intention was to write hardcore/grind crossover, it's close but they are so much more than that. They are angrier and harder than Gorilla Biscuits and their lyrics is down to earth but still pissed and attack poseurs, indie kids and other stupid people and groups that don't use their brain, thats the burden thru whole this album. And I've got in love with yet another band. I really like this fast and angry hardcore. And the lyrics... I wish it was me who've wrote them, it feels like they have been into my brain and stole them haha. All of you out there, don't fucking miss Prisonbitch from Down Under. 14 tracks in 21 minutes.

Even if it can be a problem to write reviews is it sweet when bands ain't so fucking in to just one particular subgenre, Snutjävel from Sweden just play punk. They make it good and with lot's of energy. This CD is a documentation of their earlier releases + one track that is unreleased, 18 tracks all in all. There's two bands I think of when I listen to Snutjävel and that is Asta Kask and Svart Snö. The lyrics are classic punklyrics in swedish about the society, cops and other fucked up things. I hadn't heard much by Snutjävel before this CD and it's a great aquaintance. Get this CD if you don't wanna search around for their seven inches. I can really recommend Snutjävel if you like fast swedish punk.

Violent Affair is a punkband from USA and I would put them in the same genre as The Casualties and The Unseen. It's good power in their songs which fits a summerday in the park with a lot of beer. I really like the choruses but the vocals isn't really my cupcake. After I have listen to this CD a couple of times does it hit me that Violent Affair is good but need more variance, because all tracks almost sounds like one long track. Violent Affair is a non-fascist band, that's good and they have really good lyrics. And I will end this up by saying that I have heard lot's of bands in this genre who is really really boring so dont have a preconceived notion before you start to listen at Violent Affair. 11 tracks in 31 minutes.

Here is a small documention of what Halvfabrikat released 2010. And they must be proud, because they have some really fantastic bands signed on their label. I will say that melancholic melodic crust is their niche, and that without to be dismissive, the class of the bands is high. Eskatalogia participate with 2 tracks, one in english and one in swedish, I like them more and more, but they have a new leadsinger now (or?) and it will be interesting to hear them in the future. I like Protestera, their female/male voclas are excellent. Human Errors song Police Bastard are of course a Doom cover, and I think they make it good. If you like norwegian black metal but not care about how satanic it have to be will Livstid be a good substitute, they are angry and scary as hell. Passiv Dödshjälp are one of the best bands on Halvfabrikat, they have just released a new fullength, read the review of that album in Schizo 7. I must say that Distress are one of the bands that play most traditional crust, dark and angry. Rest of the bands on this promo: Misantropic, Aktiv Dödshjälp, Years of decay, Sand creek massacre and Boredom.

Pretty Shitty Kjell arranged a 2 day-gig 2011 with 8 of the best bands in the Oi!/Street/Punkrock genre. And this DVD give you 26 songs extremely good sound quality and 3 different camera angles. I can really strong recommend this DVD for all fans of basic but fantastic punkrock. Here's a brief summary from every band who played, and I promise, the line-up is fantastic.

The first band out is The Clichés from Norrköping, Sweden. Their 3 tracks is really what skinhead rock n roll are about. I hadn't realized before now how good they really are. Tracks: Monkey see monkey do. Two-faced stupid cunts & Skinhead II.

The best situation on this DVD must be when Thomas Botos from Agent Bulldogg enter the stage and take his first tunes. This classic band has almost been totally fucked by rumours... BUT! it's the best Oi! band ever in my eyes. I think Botos is the only original member at the time of the gig, the rest of the band are members from Antipati, except the bass player which I don't know if he's an original member. Tracks: Staden Vaknar. Mitt liv, mitt val & Livsstil.

3.rd band out are Evil Conduct from Holland. A pretty nice band, but the lyrics is so filled with clichés, especially their first song Voice of Oi!. Their other tracks is: Home sweet home & Skinhead 'till I die

Micky Fitz and his The Business are nothing else than pure joy. Fuck, I wanna see the entire gig, but I can't do anything else than just put their 4 tracks on repeat. They get up on the stage and blow everything away with: Harry May. Real Enemy. Suburban Rebels. Drinking and driving. The people in the pit seems like they are in heaven. I will always love The Business and the singalong at Drinking and Driving are amazing.

Antipati belongs to the top of the league in the swedish punkrock scene. I wrote it in a review in an earlier issue of Schizo Fanzine that Antipati doesn't have that skinhead macho style, and I like them for that. It's rock n roll and punk in a great symbiosis. Tracks: Clockwork organge horror show. Punk på Berns. Grabbarna. The Punk på Berns lyrics must be the best modern punk lyrics.

Clockwork Crew must be the swedish band that have most UK-sound in their music and vocals, it actually remains me of The Business. I like their energy and their straight-on fuck-you attitude. Two of the members are also playing in The Clichés. Tracks: Taking it back. United Skins. & Smack, Smack.

Next band out is Major Accident, and they make it well but I have never been a big fan of them, even if they are a good band. But I don't know, other bands have probably caught my ears more. Tracks: (Standing on the) Sidelines. Fight to win. Step by step.

And yeah, Angelic Upstarts belongs to one of those bands that I took straight to my heart with a big bang. And it's fun to see them on this DVD, 4 tracks and so much joy. Please someone, gimmie their full gig now. Just the sight of Mensi make me glad. Their 4 tracks: 2.000.000 voices. Safe Haven. You're nicked. Solidarity.

Hey Mikael, you will soon release Turist i tillvaron 2. But what kind of response have you got since you released Turist i tillvaron 1?

So far I've only heard good things about vol 1. But I'm not that suprised, It's a great compilation done with a lot of love for the music.

How did you come up with the idea to release this kind of compilation?

I wanted to document the swedish scene at this moment, since it musikwise never have sounded it better than today. I did not want this to be a raw punk compilation or a crust comp or a street punk comp or any other subgenre to punk. I want Turist i tillvaron to be PUNK compilations, like old time favourite compilations as Really Fast, Life is a joke, Sicher gibt es bessere zeiten... etc. The idea? I've got it when I was out power walking last winter.

My opinion is that the swedish punk standard is very high, if you have to pick 3 bands from T.I.T 1, which will you choose?

Slöa Knivar, Spotlicks and Dick Tracy. Tomorrow I'll propably choose three others.

How many copys did you press of T.I.T 1 and how many will it be on T.I.T 2?

First press of vol 1 500 copies, second press 100. 501 of vol 2. No second press.

Do you know how many copys that have been sent out abroad? And yeah, how would you describe this compilation for people from abroad?

Very few actually. Just a couple for reviews to Germany, Finland, Usa, Canada, Czech Republic – maybe 20 copies of vol 1 and 2. A spanish distro bought 5 of each. I've got a lot of mails from distros/record shops in Usa and Japan, but they all stepped back when they heard about our fucked up postage prices. It sounds like a Really Fast-comp for 2011.

And for last, which is the swedish punk capital city right now?

Malmoe is still number one bandwise. But Gothenburg is really close.

And what do you wish for 2012?

That Aceh-punks gets all the mixtapes and that my football team, IFK Norrköping, do better this season.

This is a band that I always will adore. With two members that have meant a lot
for me at almost 20 years. Stefan Sundström and Johan Johansson (former KSMB,
Strindbergs etc etc) I bought this cassette at my first gig I went to 1991 and I guess
that I've played this tape more than 1000 times, that's true. It's live and I know all
comments from the audience and every single little noise. Here's three tracks in
one file. It's 1. Het på gröten (you will probably hear what orginal song it is),
2. Skitit (another famous song from the beginning) and 3. Supa som Sid Vicious.

Gary Speed was one of the Leeds legends I remember very well. He played in Leeds
from 1988-1996. He was found dead this morning, by suicide, it's so tragic. It's not
often I feel so much when famous people dies but some people have got into my heart
more than other people.

As soon as I will get the program I use to create PDF-files to work will the
printfriendly version of Schizo #7 be out. I printed one copy yesterday and
I am really satisfied. It will cost you 11 papers and some ink, but then will you
get very much reading. If you read it from page to page can you count with
at least 5-6 rounds at the toilet if you are that kind of toiletvisitor who love to
read while... yeah, you know.

Tadpole and Schizo is 2 of 10 labels who co-released this 4 tracks EP. I am proud to be one of them since Burnt Cross is my favorite band right now in all genres. Burnt Cross contains of 2 brothers (Paul and Rob) and I have made at least two interviews with them earlier, which you can read in Schizo Fanzine. Well, the brothers really know how to produce good anarcho punk in the same school as Conflict and Anthrax but better because of the fantastic anger the leadsinger Paul have in his voice. It's 4 tracks on this EP, one of them is Mob Violence by The Apostles, and I prefer this version before the original. If you, just like me can't get enough of Burnt Cross, order their new CD with tracks from their last 3 ep's, some unreleased stuff and some covers. And I have still copys left of this EP so if you wanna order from me, just send me an email. Burnt Cross really know how to deliver pissed anarcho punk, but sometime in the future would it be cool to hear them with real drums.
